Using the OEM bolts will result in the same failure over and over due to bolt strength. You have to use hardened bolts such as stage 8/ARP or some grade 8 or above bolts from the hardware/automotive store.

The problem is the manifold warping, I'm afraid stronger bolt will only result in the bolt destroying the block thread instead of breaking.

Mine only snapped one in the back and there was a pretty good play when I stacked the 2 stock manifold together.

Interesting, I've read others on here that have upgraded the hardware on OEM manifolds and not had any issues, guess it could just be a matter of time. My personal recommendation is to always utilize any excuse for aftermarket performance parts!

Yeah it could possibly be that the stock manifold is warping excessively after breaking the bolt.

Like you said it's a nice excuse to upgrade

If they're being fixed under warranty there isn't much you can do. If mine is out of warranty and I have to pay to get them done it's gonna be grade 8 and a set of shorties.

Previous reply was error. My fix was to get the Reflex gaskets and I located titanium studs and bolts. I know it's overkill but from my research I found no corrosion from titanium bolt to aluminum threads. I can't say I'm 100% correct on the corrosion issue but it has worked for me and the Reflex gives great seal. No leaks. I'm not doubting the ARP, and believe they are great. I'm just commeting on what I did to fix the issue. The CAT's being so close to rear cylinders causes a lot of heat and plus you got aluminum heads cooling against a cast iron block. I plan on having my Hemi a long time so I went ahead and had the manifolds ceramic coated while they were off.

My 73 Dodge had a manifold leak. It took a header gasket to finally seal it up.

When i decide to fix my bolts, I will be installing these. They are not 309, but 304 stainless. They will develop a little surface rust, but you cant see them anyway. Ceramic coating doesnt hold up to winter salt anyway on every day driving.

Please post this link in as many places as possible to start the recall process on the manifold bolt issue: https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

I had the dealer replace the right side bolts in my 2012 Ram 1500 at 65,000 weeks before the 5 year powertrain warranty was up, but the dealer wouldn't replace the left side at that time. They've now failed as well with 78,000 miles on the truck. $775 to replace four bolts and the manifold/gasket. This is a known issue with the hemi motor that's been going on since... 2009? This is a manufacturing/design flaw that we should not have to be paying for out of pocket to fix.

Are the manifold bolts covered under the stock 100k engine warranty?

Yes, as long as you're not past your 5 year period, which starts the minute the truck is delivered to the dealership.
