I just had some exhaust work done. I had the Y pipe modified at the two into one section by cutting it that section out and replacing it with one that flows better and a performance muffler installed. My question is how long does it take for the engine management to relearn the effects of the new exhaust? Should I disco the battery for x amount of time?

Don't disconnect the battery, no reason to.
Just drive the truck. It'll learn with a few cycles of on/off.

Which y pipe you go with? I got the magnaflow but havent installed it yet. The local shops want the price of entire catback to install so looking for other options. Im just referring to section the 3 pipes meet not the entire y pipe.

The exhaust shop got the 2 into 1 section that they welded in. They ended up redoing most of the piping past the cats all the way to the 2 into 1 section.

That's called the "I don't want to do it" pricing.
