If it hasn't been modified, your system has what passes for a muffler which is a dual purpose cannister.

My system had a close coupled catalys at the down pipe, a diesel oxidation catalyst cannister (DOC) and a combo DEF chamber & muffler cannister which doesn't really look like a muffler. In this pic, the top can is the DOC, the bottom can is the dual purpose cannister:

The delete removed both of those cans and I installed a Corsa dB Series muffler.

If you plan on removing either or both of these cans it is a delete. If you just want to replace the tailpipe no delete is required.

X2 what Maddog said.....unfortunately for me my 2500 Cummins is registered in NY where there are yearly inspections so all those shiny pieces have to stay where they are. But I wanted to do something. So I did this:

Got a new bumper for a Hemi 1500 (bolts right up) and had a shop near me that does custom work bend up stainless pipes from the axle back. What you will end up doing depends a lot on your budget and emissions laws. As most know, 2500 / 3500's ( with either the 6.4 or the Cummins ) do not come with dual exhausts like the 1500's.
