An exhaust by itself won't increase your power much. With the combination of a CAI and a Y pipe it'll help more though. More air in, more air out!

I did an MBRP cat back the second day I had my truck. I love the sound it makes! Its deep and aggressive at idle, has a nice rumble while driving yet doesn't drone much! When you really get on It's decently loud!

Don't buy a cat back though. The pipe diameters are exactly the same as stock so the only thing you're really changing is the muffler and deleting the resonators. It would be cheaper to delete the resonators and add the muffler than to buy a whole cat back. Plus you'll get the exact same gains.

Not going to gain much HP from exhaust on these trucks.

If you want power from the exhaust, I would go with a set of longtubes, and just keep the stock muffler. This will get you about 20-25hp/tq without adding a ton of sound. Its your best option for making power with an exhaust upgrade.

+1... Grab yourself a set of ARH LT; add a tuner with a custom tune and Enjoy :favorites13:

I see a lot of people going with the Magnaflow 18" muffler. Gives a great sound. My neighbor has one on his truck and it sounds "just right". I'm going to add one to my truck soon, I hope.

Like the others have said, you won't gain much in performance until you add in an intake, at least. With the Magnaflow, you can buy a weld in muffler for about $80-$100, or you can go with the bolt in kit. It's a little more expensive, but supposed to be easy to do. I'm not sure of the price of it.
