After what seems like reading 100 pages of information about adding power fold mirrors I have decided to forgo the headaches and cost. My question is if I get a set of sport mirrors from the same year truck with the same options as my original tow mirrors they should just plug and play without problems or gremlins...

If you are just going from tow mirrors to sport mirrors - then yes, everything is plug and play. Usually the gremlins are going from sport to tow (issues with the button orientation mainly). Also the power fold stuff can pose issues if you don't have PF, but trying to add it (involves the physical fold button, door modules, etc).

But the mirrors themselves are plug and play, and can be swapped out in about 5 minutes each. Its when you start messing with options that cause issues. Hope that helps!

Being Express, you may have to have dealer turn on to get them to power fold, maybe?

Thanks for the info, just trying to be sure before I start looking for mirrors.
