Factory back windows percent % tint ?

Does anyone know the percent tint on the back windows factory from dodge ?

I believe when I had mine done the factory was 20%. I think this is standard in all manufactures.

See I find them to be 15% on the rear. the reason I say that is that on my 2011 I had 20% done on the front to "match" the rear. The front was easier to see through. I went with 15% on my 2014 and it seems to have matched perfectly.

Is it easier to see through due to the windshield letting in so much light in the front?

If you put a meter on '16 rams, it meters at 24%, 09-15 ram meter at 18% (light transmission)

No I have not had trouble with the police

they probably have better things to do. Funny I have a friend that is a cop and he has his fronts tinted ... lol

I put 20 over the back tinted windows and did 5 on the front... Matched perfect! lol

Have heard 18% for stock rear windows. I did 20% on the front and can't tell a difference

Possible that your front tint wasnt actually 20℅ as advertised.. ?

Maybe it was more like 25%

It's possible, however I used a different shop when I got the 15% installed, and it seems to be a better match. I'll try again in a few days when my new truck comes in lol!

I matched mine with 20. The aftermarket tint in the front looks different/darker from the inside. I think it's cause the factory doesn't apply a film like aftermarket ones do?

How does it look from the inside for you guys? I did 20% on my 2010 silverado I had before my ram and the 20% tint looked great from the outside but darker on the inside.

I've done 15 on both of the Rams I've had (2012 and 2013) and they match perfectly

I did 20% on the fronts, and 35% over the rears to try to match, the rears seem darker, but I think its part due to no tint on my windshield, letting so much sunlight in

to elaborate on my other post - 20% matched fronts. color difference is slight, but nothing that annoys me at all. matching seems very close as far as light intrusion both inside the truck and outside, from what I can tell. be sure to use a good quality tint

Back window and all windows other than driver and passenger doors are 20%. A process where its dying the inside of the glass with a dark pigment instead of the window tint film that gets put on so it will have a slightly different shade that is what the manufacturers call " factory tint" or "privacy glass"
