If i buy a set of factory headlights from the newer model trucks with the projectors will they work on my 2009? Is it just a matter of buying a wiring harness adapter from my plugs to the new headlights

Yes sir! Just get the adapter harness from Jeremy at Retro Shop and you'll be able to put them right in.

The shape and way they bolt in are identical. Just the harness is different. Like he said, just go to JJ for the harness and that's all you'll need for the headlights and front blinkers.

One last question I find a lot of different part numbers for these lights some say w/projectors headlamps w/o sport. And others w/projectors headlights w/sport. What's the difference.

There's two types of projectors, they vary by the color painted inside. One has some pieces painted black (sport), the other is made up of mostly chrome (non sport). For the 2015s I believe they added a bit of a darker tint to the sport projectors. I'm not certain, but when I was at the dealer today I found that they looked darker than the ones on my 2014.

They made the projector housing black rather than chrome on the '15 sport projectors. That's the difference you're seeing.

No. The LED daytime running lights only work for trucks that came with the '13+ projectors from the factory (unless you install some custom wiring/modules to make them work). Your truck still won't have daytime running lights. If you do have them activated they will simply be the hi-beams at half power just as they would be with the quad headlights.

US trucks don't come with DRL's. At least I've never seen them.
