Status: If anyone every files a complaint with Chrysler about your truck you will be assigned a case manager. This person does nothing but document the status of your case, and will call you and tell you things that you already know. I waited for almost three weeks for my case manager to return my call, during that time two different case managers called me to update me on the staus of my claim and to tell me that my case manager was out of the office but would be calling me back.

I Finally called back, and was told that my case manager is no longer with the company!!!!! My new case manager said she would call the dealership and get back to me 4 days later so she could get up to speed with what was going on!!! Finally got a call from the dealership to set up a meeting for me with the manager of the local crysler body shop (which is 3 hours away) and the area manager. Ive been asking for over a month to speak to the area manger to see if he could look at my truck and help me. I swaer if I drive all the way down there and told there is nothing they can do imma lose it.

They put a new fender on my truck because of paint bubbling. Took about a week for my dealer to get it approved by chrysler

Met up with the area manager and body shop manager today. Body shop said my issue is fallout wtf ever that is. He used cleaning solvent and wiped down an area. Some of the crap came up, his recommendation was for the entire truck to be wiped down with the solvent and then waxed. I said if that will fix it id accept that. The area manager called my dealership and told them what needed to be done, I couldn't hear the conversation but from what little I heard and what he told me they can't do anything about it, but he told them they needed to find someone who could. Said if I didn't hear back from them to call him directly.

The area manager was trying to tell me how good the paint process quality control is at the factory. Told him their system is obviously flawed, said if my problem isn't/wasn't a factory problem then their shipment procedures failed. Told me they put protective covering over the trucks during shipment. I said Guess they missed mine.

And the waiting game continues. Spent 5 hours round trip taking my truck in today, been dealing with this issue for four months now seems like the end is still a ways off.

I have a spot on my new BLACK EXPRESS ST also. I have got a appoint with the dealer in DEC. I also got a survey from Ram where they are involved now. I will post what happens after the service.

Homebrew do yourself a favor and get a case number from the attorney general. I work at a Chrysler store and I've seen this done three times and each time it made things a lot smoother for the customer. As a matter of fact all three ended with the customer getting a new vehicle under the lemon law. Now none of these were paint issues but I still think you will see everybody pay more attention to you once you've involved the AG.

Wanted to update/close this gripe, they took my truck to a body shop and rubbed it down with cleaning solivent and waxed it. Took a good look around, it looked so much better. It's frustrating it took almost 5 months to make it right, but I am happy with the way it looks now. I even got starred at and got thumbs up driving around, some guy came up to me complimenting me on the paint, didn't believe me that it was the factory paint.
