I put a 2016 5.7 engine in a 2017 ram 1500, now with the key turned to the on position or when the engine is running the oil pressure stays at 100psi. Anyone experienced this ? Possibly a different oil pressure sensor between these 2 year engines?
Code PCM 0523.

Make sure the wire is plugged in at the sensor and check the wire for breaks. Dropping in the new engine could have snagged the wire

Could also be a bad sensor. Ohm it out with the truck off and see what’s its reading.

Most likely the wrong sensor. I would pull the one off your 2017 engine and try it.

Checking moparonline parts has following part numbers
2017 68295556AA
2016 5149062AB

....well I fixed my problem, the connector from the wire harness for some reason was EXTREMELY difficult to slide onto the oil pressure sensor. I unplugged it, slid the connector back on, it felt like a click but I kept on forcefully sliding the connector on the sensor it slid about an additional 1/8" or so, and sure enough this fixed the headache of an issue I was having. I sure hope this helps ya.
