Just drove it home tonight drives really nice.
Mechanic had to grind a little off ring to squeeze in with the 4.56's. Also had him replace all bearings and seals and ditch crush sleeve for permanent spacer. Lucky I had him in there as one of the pinion bearings were shot and needed to be replaced anyway. Now they are all Timken bearings so should last a long time.
I hate to say this but I actually have my truck exactly how I want it and I have no other mods in mind until supercharger.

Welcome to the club!

Well thanks you are the reason I did the 4:56's with confidence since I was afraid of RPM's but they are no problem at all. I wish I would have done the Auburn in the first place would have saved me time and money.

Side note do you use synthetic lube with Auburn? It says to use that regular dyno but I just hate that idea in winter and long tow trips.

Use the 80w90 GL 5 and Ford friction modifier as per the book. The modifier that comes with the unit is Ok but I hear it is sometimes cloudy with sediment. No whine or howl here, just changed the oil last week after 15 months. So 10 bucks a quart now vs 20-30 for the full I used to have to buy. Side note is i now put full synthetic in the front diff as was recommended by the gear center, Pic for ya, and I loved walkin into the Ford Dealership for my Ram ($5.40 ea).

Sweet!\

Only have a 3G but i have been running my Auburn and 4.56's for almost 2 months and just recently replaced the fluids after the 500 mile break in. Very very nice. Used the same Ford Additive but used Valvoline 80w90 conventional since that's all they had at the Oreilly store i went too.

I will check my RPMs tonight I used castrol 80w90 conventional and the friction modifier that came with it. So far so good. I really hate the idea of running conventional though.

I think I will have to buck the system come 500 miles I cannot see myself using conventional oil makes me cringe. I think I might use my usual Amsoil Severe Gear and just try it without additive.

I said screw it Auburn cannot tell me what is best as I just hate dyno oil.
I put in between 2.5 to 2.75 qts of 75w-90 Amsoil Severe Gear in with 2 bottles of Friction Modifier and no wine and I can tell in the morning that axle is happy to have Synthetic again no more tired feeling when the oil is cold and firm like dyno does. I cannot see how people can get by using conventional in cold weather climates like mine as it is junk.I tow too much and live in an area that temps range way too much to count on conventional. I'll let you know if anything goes wrong so far very happy.
