Installed my 3.92 gears and Detroit TruTrac LSD today and I am very pleased. Bought the LSD and master install kit from Moe's. Got the gears from a friend of mine. $350 for labor and fluids. Truck feels great. If anyone is on the fence about this mod, i would highly recommend it

That's my next 2 mods as well..Sucks going to the track and knowing what your truck is capable of running,But not being able to do it due to an open rear diff wanting to spin everytime lol.Hoe much did your Rpms change while cruising?Im gonna be installing a shorter tire as well to get me in the 4.10 range.Cant wait to order my stuff and get it installed.

350 for labor? Is that right around a normal labor charge? If so, gears are my next mod.

Woot! Gears make a huge difference.
I want a Torque Converter and 4.88s!

i debated between 4.56's and 3.92/4.10s for a while. i was really tempted to go with 4.56's because i want this truck to fly from a launch, but due to my long daily work commutes, i opted for the 3.92's. also, due to weighing out the number of times i've been to the track, vs the daily interstate drives to work, the 3.92s were the better fit for me.

That is the primary reason I chose 4.10s as well and couldn't be happier, especially when paired with an lsd; makes traffic fun at least :)

I don't mean to steal the thread but are aftermarkets gears and diff's available for the '13's now? Gearing and LSD is something I want to do ASAP. Congrats on the new mods!

As far as i know you need to get a machined carrier so that aftermarket gears could work
