I really like it. Hopefully it will hold up for at least a couple years before it starts to peel off. It took me A LOT longer than most of you because I’m very **** when it comes to my truck so I was very slow. I did 5 coats of black and 2 coats of the glossifer. I also sprayed 2 coats of black on the inside of the rims. I could only do 2 rims at a time. I also did the antenna.

There is one tip that I don’t remember reading anywhere else. Make sure you do not have any Plastidip where the lug nuts make contact with the rim. When I tried to put that 1st rim back on, my lug nut peeled off my Plastidip and I had to take the rim back off and fix it. The remaining rims I used a razor knife to cut the Plastidip away. After that, there weren’t any issues.

BTW, I realize the truck is dirty....it's black....it was clean five minutes for the picture was taken (sarcasm).

good job, it look real nice!

I'm trying to find those wheels locally and do the same. How long have you waited between coats and glossifier?

I wasn't consistent. I was working on other things around the house while doing the rims, but it was at a minimum of 15 minutes. The can says A LOT longer (4 hrs I think), but everything I read and videos I watched said about 20 minutes or so.

Did you unmount the rims? or did you dip them while they were on the truck?

That's awesome, definitely looks better. I think when the can says 4 hours, it meant the total time for the entire plastic dip job to fully cure. For lug nuts, you can buy black ones and swap out the chrome ones.

I sprayed the lug nuts with a little bit of WD-40 where it makes contact and it made it slippery just enough to where it didn't rip the Plasti-dip off. Come time to rotate my tires, things might be different.

Yeah....you could probably imagine how big my eyes got when the lug nuts started to rip the Plastidip off. I'm pretty sure i screamed a few choice words too.

Looks good, when I did my rims I only did a few coats of glossifier also. I didn't really like it. It came out tacky at first. It's fine now but took a while to dry..

Rims look good though.

yeah, i know what you mean. I did the glossifier exactly how you're supposed to and it didn't come out as glossy as I expected. I still think it looks better than just flat black. I should do a much better job the next time around.

They actually came out with a new top coat glossy dip that is supposed to be way better than the glossifier. Haven't test it yet, but I've been hearing nothing but positive feedbacks about it.
