The guys on the classic car forum are talking about the new fire extinguisher called Element. Uses molecular technology (no dry chem) doesn’t expire, 50 or 100 seconds of discharge time depending on which model you get, can fit in your glove box. obviously more pricey ($85 or $115) than dry chem but has a lot of advantages. Obviously that price doesn’t matter when you’re trying to put a fire out on your show car or expensive truck.

It might've already been mentioned, but name brands like Amerex and Badger for example are the brands we always carried on our wildfire vehicles. A 5 pounder will only shoot for around 15 seconds, so we always carried 10 pounders for added insurance. Also, regardless of brand, make sure the handle is metal, not plastic, since, obviously, a fire extinguisher with a broken handle will be of little use.

Check out the price differance. This is just changing the .Com to .CA.

I like this idea for controlling a small fire, but not nearly enough to be violated by amazon.CA to that degree. Spending $71 for 4 fire blankets is insane.

I added this deal today on the fire blankets to get my purchase amount over the $35 free shipping for Canadastan, and thought another Canuck might be interested.

Spending $20 for 4 blankets is not too difficult to justify.

Next is to find a 5 or 10# FEX with a metal valve/handle assembly without hauking a body part.
