Well looks like my first day off this Saturday in 12 days I'll be spending it in the service department with my less than a month old truck. Got a warning message on my radio the my phone isn't working that I need to contact the dealership, and my nav is stuck on a road in San Antonio, Texas which is about 6-7 hours away from me and will not move. I haven't been there in about 20 years, much less in the last 2 days. :/ hope this isn't a sign of what's to come with this truck.

NICE!!! Man, I really hope I'm the odd one out and have a flawless truck. ONLY if my luck completely changes!

Yup, mine did this about 6-7 weeks after buying it and I finally brought it in about a month or so after that. The compass was out of whack, navigation was activated but put me about 30 miles away, and that message started to pop up at every ignition cycle. Dealer replaced the radio, and everything has been working great ever since.

That's what I'm afraid of. Been kinda reading up on it and I see that's the only fix. My only problem is I'm only off work every other weekend, so I'm going to have to go in this weekend for them to look at it and order one cuz you know they don't keep that in stock, then deal with it for 2 more weeks till I can make it back.

So I had a chance to make it to the dealership today after work for them to look at my radio so they can get the part ordered so I could come back Saturday. Whatever freaked out inside my radio had something constantly running and was running down my battery. They have it unplugged until a new one comes in. Said they've only had one other case of that happening before back in January in a Chrysler 300.

I really hope they work out all the "bugs" on the 13's. Most owners have had some sort of issue with the radio/uconnect. I hope they get you fixed up.

Well here we are at hour 36 without a radio in a brand new vehicle still, and I must say, it freakin sucks! Still waiting for the new one to come in. Hopefully today. What's worse is now my gauge lights won't turn off. hoping its cuz they have my radio unplugged. They've been constantly on since I left the dealership. :/

And now I'm really starting to not like this service department. Called just now to check and see if my radio is in and to tell them about my gauge lights. Said because my truck is so new, Chrysler has to approve of the changing out my radio first before they can order one even though its a service claim. Said that's going to be a couple more days before Chrysler approves it, and will be a couple more days for the radio to come in. Asked them about my gauge lights. Said the soonest they could look at it was Friday. So I told them I'm going to come drop off the truck to them and pick up a loaner before my battery goes dead and I'm stuck somewheres. Said they can't do that even though it clearly states in my warranty packet that I paid to have a loaner in the case of needed service. So now I'm waiting on my sales person to give me a call when he gets into work so I can figure out what is going on. I hate dealerships...

Call Mopar and see if they can rush something - They are getting tons of complaints over the new radios. I would almost bet that will be the next problem, No Radio's for replacment

About to be on my way there now to talk to the sales manager. Talked to him earlier and he said he'd take care of it for me.

Its generally not a good idea to buy the first year of a new product or the redesign of an early product.

New designs and redesigns flaws and defects generally take a year or two to get the bugs of them.

This happens more than I think it should especially with the technology we have.

But there is the "make it faster and cheaper" way of thinking to get products to market and to increase profits.

The technology also works against us because now with computer design CAD/CAM software and computer anaylsis they make products to just make it to there life expectancy how every long they decide to make it.

For instance a 5 year hot water tank of mine made it 5 years 4 months then needed replacing.

Same with 2 heat pumps I had to replaced so far just a couple of months past the end of their warranty.

It unfortunate that we as a society have come to this and do not have the Made IN AMERICA pride we had.

It is now all Chinese crap that our government has aloud to flood America.

But it is also the the fault of Americans for allowing this to happen and for buying the chinese crap instead of buying american.

I spend extra time and money to try and only buy MADE IN AMERICA products or made in other countries other than china.

You would be surprised how hard it is to do this!!!

Regards
Don

Well it's been a week now without a radio, and 5 days with no truck.

Went to the dealership after work today to talk with the service writer, he could tell I was kind of pissed, so he called his manager. Claim they still don't have a tracking number for the new radio yet, but they can assure me that it was ordered. Said it usually takes a few weeks for them to come in. Told them that's a big difference from the few days I was originally told when I brought my truck in last week. Manager is supposed to call tomorrow to see what the hold up is on the new radio. If its still a few days out, he's going to pull one out from one of the new trucks on the lot. Whatever works at this point, I just want my truck that I bought back!!!

That sucks bro..I have to bring my truck in when I get home from offshore. When I move the truck out of park it's making a loud clicking sound from the ignition and when I put it back in park it makes the same loud clicking sound.Read up that it was the ignition locking the key in place,But it's never made the noise before and I'll be damned if I'm gonna listen to it all the time.I hope they don't try to ******** me around on that!
Who was your salesman?

Not Cali, LA as in Louisiana. ;)

They claim the radio comes from a different part of Chrysler, and that it has to get approved first. Just got off the phone with them. Says they finally got a tracking number and that it'll be here tomorrow. So yet another day of waiting...
