Flowmaster 40 series Q

Couldn't find another thread with my question, but did anyone purchase a flowmaster 40 series for their Ram? Did anyone have to do anything special to install it, i.e new exhaust, pipe extenders, etc?

i just recently installed a super 44 on my own. I had to come out in front of the right rear tire. I did a single 3" in and a 2.5" dual out. I used a standard foot and half straight 2.5" pipe and put a 90 on the end and then extended them both out with more straight pipe. Had to angle them down a bit due to leaf springs pushing down.

What I came across is that is in fact a lot short than the original muffler (known) and that I have to get an exhaust extension to get it installed. Just seeing what others had to do. I know the 40 series I bought is compatible with my truck, I was just seeing if anyone else has any tips or suggestions on what they did.

You should be able to get away with a foot or two of 3" pipe and a couple hangers and clamps

Buy the cat back system. thats what i did.. no welding require.. i had mine tack welded for extra strength but not necessary. theres a good youtube video of how to instal takes about 45-60min pretty simple actually
