Fluid leak

Just got home from a quick errand and noticed some leaking on the passenger side of the truck. From the smell and looks of it, it's water. Here are some pics:



It's leaking slow and steady from the engine compartment down onto the frame. Where could the leak be coming from? I couldn't find it.

Also, it wouldn't be safe to drive the truck while it's leaking like that, right?

Did you have your ac on? That is the same place my old 05 would drip condensation when the ac was on.

Keep looking trace the water back ... it will show up . I will go out and look at mine in a few

Bet its the ac.

From the looks of it, it starts in an area between the coolant and battery. Definitely not the coolant because it's close to the battery. Seems to be coming from a black hose which feeds into the cab, maybe?

Could that be the ac?

it is ac mine was doing it today when changing oil it was still dripping

Mine always makes a lot of condensation on the ground after I have her running full cold blast. Right behind the passenger front wheel.

If it was coolant it would leave a water stain on the side of the block where it was coming from

Oh, and it's perfectly safe. If you opened the hood and felt the AC canister right after driving with the AC on I bet it's wet.

Yep! It turned out to be the AC

Even though I feel like a dumby, I'm very relieved it's that and not something that requires a repair...and we all know repairs for the CTD aren't the cheapest lol.

make sure you replace them with AC Delcos! Only way to go on these trucks.

So we figured this one out, but I gotta ask, has anyone ever had a Dodge truck that doesn't leak for any length of time? It seems as soon as you fix one, another starts, lol.
