Foam cannon

So this is my foam cannon today. I can say this the knob on the top definitely makes a difference but I still didn’t get the foam I was expecting. I had it all the way to the soap side when I got this. I just feel like it should be “thicker”.

It’s so hard to diagnose because of so many different variables. I would try more soap and also try adjustment fully both ways. Like I said mine is backwards from what the instructions say.

So when you turn the knob all the way the other way it’s just water. There is a little soap but mostly water. That’s why I said it does make a difference but even using small adjustments if I didn't open it all the way it wouldn’t produce this.

When you say half soap half distilled water you mean to fill the canister up with half soap?

This time I used about 3oz of soap and just filled up the rest with water from my hose. Same water I use to wash the vehicle so I assumed it was fine.

Mine doesn’t seem to make to much of a difference on the top knob it’s either opened or closed. Small adjustments didn’t produce a noticeable effect.

I never had to use half soap half water. I just did my truck and this is the foam I was getting before the cannon ran out




Take note that my truck is ceramic coated so the foam slides off faster so before I got my phone it was thick foam

How long do y’all let the foam set before washing it off?

Normally i start on one side then by the time I’m finished coating the rest of the vehicle the side instarted on has sat long enough. Then I go over the whole vehicle with a soapy microfiber mit

No like 50:50 mix but use distilled water not tap

Another thing to be careful of is when you are producing thick foam you go through the soap mixture faster. When I have it dialed in right I can wash the car at least three times before having to fill it with a new mixture. Today I was screwing around and went through a full bottle and then some of soap mixture

So what’s the benefits of filling the bottle with distilled water? The water that will be running from the pressure washer will still be coming straight out of the well so what’s the pro/cons of this?

I don’t use distilled water so I don’t know of any benefit. I think someone before said the minerals in hard water can affect how well the soap foams

I use a hand foam sprayer on the hose. I get enough foam to wash her effectively.
