I guess I totally misunderstood a long time ago on how that AlfaOBD thing connects and works on a 2018 and later pickup. As I said before, I was under the impression that in order to use that on my truck, Id have to pull the dash off around the radio, pull the 8.4 radio screen out of the dash, find that security module that’s behind it, unplug the connectors on both ends of it, and plug in that bypass....

Nope the bypass basically replaces the obd2 port. Then you plug in a obd2 reader into the obd2 port, connect through bluetooth make your changes and unplugged the reader. The bypass cable can be left alone or if you only plan on making a few changes at once and nothing more you can unplug the bypass.
This is what obd2 reader you'll want

If you have any detailed questions pm me and I can send some detailed pictures. They don't want the instructions or anything too detailed posted online so other companies can easily copy. Granted $50 for the bypass isn't expensive for a company to buy one and copy it
