Yep typo. Sorry for that. The original email/info that was sent is correct.

Here's the official 18 2500 schematic showing chmsl and Panasonic radio (if I can get it attached ...

M² Mods.
Got video!!!!!!! I found that 18 diagram on google last night so I pulled the pins back out of the connector thinking maybe I had damaged them so I slid them directly onto the pins in the back of the radio to verify I had a snug fit and that was fine so I decided I didn't have anything else to lose so I put them in spots 21 and 22. I had to drive around all morning and wait and wait for XM radio and the backup camera to come back but now I have video. You mentioned here https://www.ramforum.com/posts/2384197/ that my donor vin was from a rental. Is is possible that this radio part number is specific to rental vehicles?

Have you tried providing separate power and/or ground?

EDIT: Try just ground.

I will have to remember that it may be 21,22 for some newer Panasonic radios (not convinced that's a ram radio PN) and file that one under...

Hardest part was pulling the trigger on the drill. Now have to wait for fuse taps from Amazon to power the camera, couldn't find any locally. 53f20ccc6726698aafb2fd95495ed9b2.jpg857a05ff005cd91a7d60859be67c61e8.jpg

I had the same concerns about the drill. I installed mine so that I could replace just the emblem should it ever become necessary for any reason.front cam.jpg

I would like to have done it that way but my camera was too big to fit there

I like that your camera gives a wider view. The one I have, supplied from Customtronix, has a narrower field of view. But it's also integrated into the badge which camouflages the camera which I like, since my paint is blue. Yours blends in well black on black!

I looked at Customronix but I couldn't stomach the price. I'm all about cheap. I think if I had a different color truck I might have considered it. Or maybe just shoot the camera with some rattle can touch up paint. I took it out last night to try it out and it really makes parking a lot easier.

Mine was backwards and upside down. The camera has three colored wire loops in the harness you can cut. One flips the image right side up. One changes from mirrored image to normal and one removes the parking grid lines.

It's camera specific. Not all are capable of image flipping.

I had to cut 2 but I don't remember the colors. I didn't cut the one for the grid lines. Looking at the instructions on Amazon purple would fix upside-down, white for backwards image.

Yeah it did have a hefty price tag, but I now also have functional front, cargo, and backup cameras. I have to use all three Everytime I'm in the truck to help justify the cost haha!

OK, I've been looking into this as I want to see if I can keep the video in motion at all times. It appears that PINs 21,22 are used for second row video in factory applications. Thus far I've been unable to get the second or third row options to appear on a UAS screen.

My question is, do you have the source VIN for that radio? Do you know the firmware level too? The only diagram I see that PINs 21,22 from the factory is for a Grand Cherokee.View attachment Mopar Connection Repair Kit GC.pdf
