I had Ranchos front and rear and everyone said my truck rode like a Cadillac. I've had Ranchos on many trucks and always liked the ride, but I also like a sportier ride where I feel the road. I got talked into the Pro Comp PreRunner shocks and struts this time around. I haven't put the fronts on yet, but I can feel a difference in the back as I have less sway around corners and less squat when I hit the gas. I was told that the Pro Comps are the same as the Bilsteins and the Fox shocks in terms of valving and housing. Is it true?? I don't know. But I saved a good $20 on each shock/strut. Although, I had to go back to Mopar (actually Benny from All Mopar Parts) for all of the springs since my lift kit used all factory parts in terms of the shocks and springs.

So I’m looking for the better ride on the interstate, but can handle the off road as well ( a lot of the campgrounds I get are dirt , gravel and rocky) like I just drove 9 hours pulling my TT and half the ride home I sat there bouncing up and down like I was on a wooden roller coaster
What’s your price range for the front struts?

I haven’t looked in a while but I remember the following when I was searching:

Bilstein 5100 fronts/bilstein rears ~$500
Bilstein 6112 fronts/bilstein rears ~$900

And I’ve never personally used the 6112s but by all accounts they would probably be better suited if you’re talking about going over bumps that are jarring you around currently. But you’ll have to pay a little more for that better setup.

Anything more and you’ll be getting into the more expensive setups from Fox/King/Icon etc.
