Has anyone had problems with fuel pump failure every year? I have a 2017, needs a second fuel pump, also had to do the air conditioning in it last year. How many more problems am I looking at?

For the fuel pump if you're mechanical I'd order an aeromotive stealth fuel pump take apart the pump unit and stuff one of those in. Should last longer and be cheaper than replacing the whole unit.

I’ve had no problem with either but with r134a it’s almost normal to have to add a can every year. Find a can of it with dye and that will help you find the leak. You can also look at each section of pipe and by the sensors and look for a greasy looking buildup and that will probably be a leak. If the connections at each pipe and component in the system are clean then the dye will help you find the leak either with amber glasses or possibly just by the naked eye if it’s big enough. As for your fuel problem, are you replacing the sock fuel filter when you replace the fuel pump? Sock filters are known to get weak and suck in and cause very little fuel to get through and cause the engine to die. Just a thought.

It’s probably the fuel pump control module that’s taking out your fuel pumps.

Anytime we see a truck go through 2 fuel pumps in a fairly short amount of time we recommend to replace the fuel pump control module as well. Usually don’t see an issue after that.

As for the A/C, the accumulator plug on the condenser is a common source of a leak. Anytime I have a Ram come in with inop A/C it’s the first place I look and 9 out of 10 times that’s the issue.
