Has anyone noticed improved MPG with the Electronic Stability Control button off?

I've tired this and I didn't notice any real difference at all in Both of our trucks... And besides when I see that light on for so long I get tempted:naughty:

Pulling a TA Trailer loaded with about 4000 lbs of tools and scaffolding yesterday up the Natchez Trace at 55 mph I average about 11.5 MPG. I have a hard time gauging the regular mileage without the trailer because I'm only unhooked on weekends mostly, but during the 1st 1500 miles on the OD I refrained from pulling anything..averaged 17-20 depending on how easy I was on it.

This is vastly superior to what I was getting with my '99 sport. Also have to add that I'm thrilled with the power. It's a pleasure to be able to join that traffic from the on-ramp on the interstate at 65-70MPH even while towing.

One of each LOL

When I bought my 2010 Hemi Ram, I was impressed to be doing slightly better MPG than my '97 1500 5.2 with 5 spd manual. Something like 155 more HP in a quad cab for 17 (instead of 16) mpg? Who wouldn't want that?

How is this possible

Set your cruise control at 79 so you can still go into Eco-Mode.
If I am traveling state roads (even with all the elevation changes) on State Roads, so I'm below 70 I've seen as high as 23mpg.

I have just over 8000 miles on the odo. It didn't really seem to 'break in and get better'
(I keep a log)

I can't even get the eo light to stay on at 65. Avg mpg 13.3 .depressing . 2012express crew 5.7 hemi

Baby my Express for 2 weeks Best I got was 15mpg.
So when do these trucks pull the advertised 20mpg? On a down hill slope in Nebraska?

Lol. I've been wondering the same thing since January. Oh well, if I wanted a clown car I would have gotten one.

Went to DC (from philly) and back and i was topping at around 21mpg. I was consistantly driving around 70 mph and i didn't punch it or brake really hard. I also coast alot when going down small hills.

Overall, it was a great trip with the truck. I was impressed on the mileage i got from it. With a full tank of gas, i drove over 300 miles in 2 days and still had a quarter tank of gas. It's only when i do short trips when the MPG drops to about 12mpg.

I'm getting about 14.9 MPG (hand calculated) in my '12 Hemi, Crew Cab, 4x4. That's 95%+ city driving; so I can't complain.

Only 1,500 miles on it so far.

Love my 1500 5.7L 4x4. Usually get about 16 on the commute (half town and half freeway). Got 19.5 last weekend on a run to Alabama running about 67 average. Just wonder how the TT is going to hit the mileage this summer.

With my '09 Hemi CC

16 - 17 Around town and back and forth to work
21 - 22 On highway if i keep it between 65 & 75mph
8 - 9 pulling the camper

At least i have enough power to pass when ever I want :D

It really boils down to how you drive...can I get 20 mpg in my hemi?...yes...but I have to drive for it...meaning accelerating going downhill and coasting going uphill. If I drive normal (for me) its closer to 18 mpg...not great but with a Hemi and 3.92 gears...what can I really expect? I bought a truck for what it can do, no regrets here.

I average about 60/40 highway to city. EVIC shows 16, hand calculated is 15. I have seen the evic say 18.3 one time, but I would estimate i was only getting 17.3mpg.

How much do gears affect gas mileage? I currently have 3.55 and want some 3.92s so just wondered.

City they supposedly help since you're in the throttle less to get up to speed but highway they hurt a little bit cause of the higher rpm
