I am running stock gears in my 08 ram 2500 6.7 if I'm pulling a 14-15k fifth wheel should I upgrade the rear gears to 4:10. Would upgrading the gears take some load off the tranny.

I have the same truck as you, I have the 3.73 gears, I'm assuming that is what you have? I personally like the 3.73 gears over the 4.10 gears. You will run higher rpms with 4.10 gears, mileage will also not be the same. Personally I would not change them. You would be better off upgrading the transmission, like a rebuild kit from BD Diesel Performance with a deeper transmission pan for lower temps.

The mileage depends on what kind of terrain you drive in

I got better mileage when i had 4:10 than I did with 3:73
