Getting Battery and <8V in dash panel

I have 2014 Ram 2500 diesel it let me down yesterday. Battery's were to weak to start engine my son came over with his jump start on it fired right up. I shut the engine off to see if it would restart. I had the key on the accessory position and on the dash panel it was showing in red a battery and <8v. Has anyone ever seen this before. I even went and put two new batteries in truck. Start engine turn key off to accessory position and still getting red battery with the <8V next to it. What do I do to fix this.

Bad grounds on battery cables to block/frame?

Does it show differently with the key in the run position? A lot of sensor data does not populate correctly if the key is the accessory position.
