'14 RAM 1500 with the 8" display. Light duty use. at 110,000 miles. Brought it in for the following issues:
1) Rear passenger window doesn't go up (goes down)
2) Engine ticking sound
3) Radio changes input to AUX when center arm rest is moved or going over dumps
4) Radio unit does not always come on right away when vehicle is started. Can sometimes take 5-10 minutes before the display comes on. When this happens heater controls don't work either
5) Backup camera image is sometimes color skewed or rolls and flips
Diagnosis/recommended actions:
1) Power connectors were lose in the driver's door
2) Several head bolts were broken and head should be replaced
3) wire harness in arm rest likely broken, needs to be replaced
4) Suggest replacing head unit
5) same as 4.
Total cost is around $4K according to the dealer. Paid just over $2K for the lifetime contract.
