I want to use the hardwire kit for our TST 507 TPMS monitor for our trailer, but can't easily find a good spot to grab switched +12V near the drivers seat without disasembling the dash? I lowered the overheard lights/console which had about 6 plugs going to it but NO slack to really get at anything?

Anyone have any experience?

Cig lighter, or OE Brake Controller (if you have it). I used the Brake Controller. There's 2 harnesses. IIRC, the switched wire was on the smallest plug (closest to driver), and pink with green stripe. I used it for my radar detector hardwire kit. It was difficult to find a switched source. Use a VOM or DVM to make sure.

THANK YOU!
Wasn't sure about using the brake controller for power but I suppose its a pretty minimal draw.

I used the plug in the console. The top comes off pretty easily then the wiring is right there.

That was my 1st intuition, but they hardwire kit provided is fused and I would have to lengthen the ire to reach across to near the drivers grab handle where I mount the TPMS readout module.
Thanks for adding in though :happy160:

BTW there's a black with green tracer on the larger harness, which is a ground. Trailer TPMS hardwired :33:

According to WhiteExpress...

If you don't have heated power seats, one of the 3 connectors under the seat has a Ignition hot that I tapped into for my Remote On for my amp

This advice was given to me in my build thread. I haven't tried it, but only because I didn't need a switched, I was looking for a constant.

Another good tip, but again too far as the provided hardwire cord was kinda short. But a good tip nonetheless.
