For the one or two , who might care, Goodby and thanks.
Thanks for all the ideas and help, over the years.
Tried to give back, as much as I took and hope I did.

I feel you... but leaving and giving them the joy of you leaving is a victory for them... stick around, talk with Maddog in private... hopefully something gets done because I agree with you, a lot of trash is being allowed to fly around

Hopefully the trash gets thrown out .... I neglected my forums and trusted the mods and too much was allowed to happen and people left in bunches... very easy to tear down a community online...

Sorry to see you go.

It's your decision, of course, but I'd rather you not let the vocal and rule breaking minority drive you away.

Sounds like very good information to pass on to newer folks (me being one of them). I thought that I had joined the forum in 2011, but couldn't find a profile this year when I tried to become active again. I don't know you, but for as long as it appears that you've been around (since 2014); it seems to be a shame for you to walk away. But, if you've determined that you've just had enough, then folks will just have to understand. Good luck to you with your future endeavors and I'm sure that your presence will be missed throughout the walls of this forum.

Goodbye

So who's better off if you take your ball and go home? Life is full of turds in the punch bowl but handling them is what maturing is all about.

I'd rather you stay as I've appreciated your input and now you want to deprive us/new members of those interactions because you're butt hurt.

Block the turds, work with the moderators and stick around.

As others have said, Wish you would still hang around, and the ignore button works on trolls

I find the "ignore" feature helps restore forum bliss. I have about a dozen or so folks on the list and it clean sup the forum nicely. Give it a try before giving up.

@MADDOG Does this forum software have an "opt-in" feature? I was on a forum a while back that had what was basically site-wide ignore list on which the mods could put problem children before outright banning them. Then if someone wanted to see their posts they could "opt-in". The problem children were happily posting away but nobody could hear them unless they opted-in. Mods said it was kind of funny, one guy posted regularly for over a year and no one had opted-in to his posts the entire time.

We do have a form of that function here. I have used it but only on special occasions.

However, for members the "Ignore" function works pretty well. I can't use it here because if I did I'd miss something that requires action.

Combined with the Ignore button, the "Report" button is a very important tool here at RamForum. Anyone can report a post or thread and I would encourage each and every member to use it. The Reporting tool is a vital function as there is no way Staff can review each and every new post on a daily basis. When members report an item Staff receives an immediate notice that there is a reported item that requires attention.

Hoping the positives outweigh the negatives on this forum. Work the forum to remove or silence the naysayers and remove the trolls. If you must go for a while I wish you the best with life and that beautiful truck you own. Keep on truckin' life is to short.IMG_0811.JPG
