Grill guard

I'm thinking about installing a grill guard on my 2015 Ram Tradesmen. I garage the truck daily. I'm wondering how much distance the installation of a grill guard will take between the grill and the guard. I want to be able to garage the truck. Does anyone have a general idea of an average distance? Or thoughts on this matter. Thanks

Having looked at almost all of the options and considering one myself, I would venture to estimate about 14 to 16 inches. Wish I could give you a for sure answer but they vary from brand and style.
