Question. How does the bottom end & trany wholed up under the added horses ???
Well I'll find out. From what I've read the 8-speed is good for over 500hp to the wheels. The engine's weak point is the upper compression piston rings.
I chose the procharger because theoretically it will be a little gentler on the stock internals than a positive displacement blower would be as boost is more rpm dependent.

The 8HP70 is rated to 700nm or 516 lb-ft at the "crankshaft" not at the tires.With a good tranny tune they'll take 500 to the tires,but that's with a "good" tranny tune,not your average dyno shops tranny tune.I'd talk to Jay Greene for tuning ..

That’s also a constant torque rating, not peak. Transmission power ratings are kinda weird on how they work.

A good tranny tune is probably something to look into to, you know personally how tranny tunes can either make or break your trans lol.

No comment,lol.Last shot on the dyno it put down 572 lb-ft at 3200 on a 125 shot,but honestly i'm scared to put the 125 jets in it at the track,damn 8 speeds aren't cheap,lol

So sweet. I have a 2016 R/T and would love to get the Whipple. Seem like a great product. Give us more updates too. So did you do anything to the 8-speed transmission or is it stock?

Stock transmission. I'm having it custom tuned but that's about it. I've been told that they are pretty tough. So I'm going to run it as is. If it breaks it breaks...

So I installed a boost gauge over the weekend. At 3/4 throttle I look over and it's showing 10.8 psi. :eek:

What was your ambient temp, only time I’ve ever seen mine go near 10 was when ambient temp was like 5 degrees Celsius. During summer temps it was always 7-8psi.
