Hard ping at 2000 RPM

I have a 2009 3500 6.7, just did an EGR delete on it and had the injector pump replaced, now I have a hard ping at exactly 2000 RPM. It doesn't do it all the time and I have to be accelerating slightly above a normal acceleration. No rattle on idle, no ping after 2000 RPM, no ping below 2000 RPM except when it starts pinging, I can continue the ping into higher RPM's if I do a harder acceleration, but it normally stops before and after 2000 RPM. I'm running LUCAS oil in the fuel, but it was doing it before I added the additive. Just changed the oil so the oil level is good. Any ideas?

i have a 2007 cummins 5.9, with the exact same problem, g56 everything stock 57k miles, i got it at 47k miles, and it had this ping, like you said, sent oil sample in at a 5k oil change and it was normal no fuel or anti freeze detected, the one thing that changed the ping was when i put stanadyne injector cleaner, also tried marvel mystery oil, also adjusted the valves, got rid of the dual mass flywheel, the rattle/ping is quieter with the additive, mine has the same common rail and cp3 like yours does, i have taken it to 3 different diesel shops, they said everything checks out with rail pressures, they are saying just noisy injectors, the truck runs perfect, i went into shop saying do the injectors, and they didnt think it was worth it at this point, the 6.7 cant use marvel mystery oil, because of the smog/sulphur, ive had this truck for 8 months, and i guess ill drive it until something happens, at least ill know what is causing it
