I've never liked the dial shifter, but if you get used to using the steering wheel for volume, you won't ever reach up to shift the transmission to turn up the volume. Just sayin'....
I can do that
What color?
Red
Orange
Blue
Green
Yellow
Gray
Black
Gold
Simulated wood (can be stained) YMMV
disclaimers: Still a rough draft prototype using PLA. PLA doesn't like high heat. After I lock the design down, I'll reprint in ABS.
I wasn't responding to your post about how the shifter feels, I was making a general statement about how the OP stated that he grabs the transmission dial when he meant to turn up the radio. I was offering up a method of changing volume without reaching for the dash.Grabbing the wrong dial was not my issue. My issue was quick gear changes to back my trailer off the road in traffic. I found myself having to look down because there was no indexing of the know to my hand. With an index, I can feel what position the dial is in without looking. If you are still rolling .5 MPH, the park dog will engage and I hate that.
Every now and then I can not get my RAM to move forward or backward when I turn the fan switch knob higher or lower :O Do I have a issue or is my issue just mental health ? lol
Bummer is I did it twice this week But I have gotten used to it over the past year,if I had a choice I would still get a column shiftier .It would not stop me from buying another RAM with one
I hate the knob, seems a little feminine for my tastes.
But, I don't have to worry about it. My 2013 Sport has a Hurst console shifter.
I have got used to the knob, still a little weird but I can live with it ! Is the 1500 worth it to move up to a 2500 with firmer harsher ride for a Non Work truck Nope I love my 1500 RAM and will buy another one even if it has the knob shifter !If you love the Ram and a column shifter then the best thing to do is buy the 2500.
