I almost did the other night. After an $8k insurance claim on off road damage to my bedside and a $13k claim for a new engine after I hydro locked it, I wasn’t excited to have to make an animal impact claim lmao

haha. Yeah I didn't even see this little guy till it was too late. It cracked one of the mounting holes for my lower valance. I don't see any ripples or creases in the front bumper at all. I hit it doing 45 easy.

Three little marks. Hopefully a stiff brush will get those off.

I’ve hit an usually high amount of song birds. I’m wondering if they visually can’t recognize the truck because it’s black on black. I don’t know??? But it’s become comical at this point. Luckily, the Ram grill style prevents them from getting lodged and they just bounce off. But, I’ve had weird luck with birds in other trucks too. I once hit a wood ******! Who hits a wood ******??

haha That's hilarious. I smoked a ferrel cat once with my chevy too. Trail grapplers crunched it good and the trailer finished it off. Actually come to think about it I've hit a pheasant with this truck too! That's how I broke my license plate frame.

Ok so 2300 damage to the PW. Getting a new bumper and lower fascia and a couple other odds and ends. The deer went under my truck. Anything I should mention to the shop to look for as far as suspension damage? I know it's going to get sent in for an alignment and I'm going to try and get that damn drag link replaced with the new part since they won't be able to get my steering wheel straight! haha. Might be my mind playing tricks on me but I seem to feel a bit more feedback in my steering wheel since the collision...…….

I almost hit a massive buck this past weekend but the old lady in a small subaru in the lane next to me hit it before it got to me.

We were only doing about 30 or so mph but holy **** did it do a number to her car. His horns completely shattered her windshield, he broke her driver side headlamp, dented her LF fender, flew up and landed on the top of her car, denting the roof. Dude got up and ran off like nothing. Beautiful Muley buck.

Even crazier was the old lady just kept on driving as if nothing happened. I pulled up to her at the next stop, asked her if she was okay, she gives me a thumbs up and drives off.

Wife and I looked at each other and said "WTF does she even know she just hit a deer?!" lol

Crazy.

Have not hit one yet with my PW but have hit and BEEN hit my many others in other vehicles.
Every deer I have hit has been uninsured.

Back in college I was hit broadside by a buck... left dimples in the roof of my VW Bug.

Deer definitely should at least post bond if they're going to use the same roads we do.

This summer I installed another 220 yards of 8 feet high deer fence with up to 16 foot wide gate openings on the cleared acreage immediately surrounding our home. My Power Wagon is parked up on the hill in the background in this mid-September 2020 photo. Behind it is another 8 feet high deer fence to keep the deer off of the road.

A young buck charged directly at me twice in late September when I was walking out to empty the trash. Both times my dogs scared him off in time, but I still had to hop into my Power Wagon and drive it directly at him intentionally while honking to stop him from challenging my dogs. I never hit him with it! I would have though if he hadn't backed down and left.

Oh that would have been Dinner! Bow season would have started a month early!

My dad always pulls over if he sees a Game Warden the sene from a wreck with a deer involved. The officer puts a tag on it and helps load it in the back of of my dads truck if it is fresh and off dad goes to get it processed! He said if he hits it, he is definitely taking the evidence with him as payment for his troubles.
