Headlight Issues

So I’m having an issue with my drivers light high beam and running light. Passenger works fine for all three beams, and the drivers low beam works. I replaced the H13 pigtail and that wasn’t it, nor is it the leds as it does it with a halogen bulb too. There’s a video below that shows what’s going on.

I replied over on cumminsforum, but I’ll paste here in case anyone else has ideas.

Did this happen just randomly all of a sudden, or right after a bulb change? It’s strange that the parking lights (both sides) don’t come on with the headlights, at least not right away. Can you break down your video for when the headlights come on, parking lights come on? What are you doing with the headlight switch (straight to headlights on, parking lights only, high beam, etc..)?


It’s almost as if the two connectors are swapped since they’re almost the same. One 3-way connector has the high/low beam circuit, the other 3-way connector has the turn/park circuit.

That's definitely odd. First initial thoughts would be it's the led bulb but since it does it with the halogen bulbs also it could be a tipm related issue. But I would think both sides would do it if it was a tipm issue. If you haven't unplug the battery for a little while and see if that changes anything.

Does the same thing happen if the truck is not running (just turn the ignition on)?
Might rule out if it's an issue with any CANbus monitor?
