Mt truck 2022 Ram Warlock is a "MONTH" old today and already dealing with the steering wheel heater working sporadicly. It will shut off on it's own try to turn it back on and 2 seconds later shuts off! I've read on this and other forums about this problem. I've owned 2 other rams never had this happen. Just having to bring this in to the dealership and it will probably work the whole time they have it and get it back. Just for them to say we can't duplicate the problem!

My 2022 Ram Warlock does the same thing since I got it. Dealer had in for the entire day twice now and haven't figured it out even though they could reproduce the problem. My 2019 never had a problem. It will work fine for a couple days, and then not work for a couple of days. They replaced the steering wheel but it didn't make a difference. If you find out what it is please let me know because I have no faith in the idiots at the dealer and will just fix it myself!

I never brought it in to get repaired. For some reason it just started working correctly I have had no issues with it this winter! Weird!

So I thought I would update this. I found a solution for awhile it was to restart the truck when it would stop working. The restart trick isn’t working anymore. It turns on for about 5-8 minutes then turns off and will not turn back on. I brought truck into dealer and put it on diagnostic and I was told the steering wheel itself is bad. So Thursday I’m bringing it in for replacement.

Take care,
Matt

They said the steering wheel is bad?

I could understand the clock spring, or a switch in the steering wheel, but the steering wheel itself being bad would be kinda odd.

An element in the steering wheel I was told. I was thinking clock spring myself. So we will see if that fixes it or not.

So I thought I would update this again! I was told a loose wire connection in the clock spring they connected it. It worked for about a week and on the coldest day of year so far about 31 degrees. I go to turn it on. Shuts off after 30 seconds wouldn’t turn back on! When it works it works sporadically. I can’t figure why it’s doing what it’s doing. So, need to make another appointment and see what they say next! So frustrating!!!
