Based on info I found here and a couple other sites, I bought the parts necessary to install a heated wheel in my '14 Big Horn. I bought the wheel, new clockspring module, dash switch plate , and a new steering column wiring harness.
With all that installed today by my dealer, the wheel will not work. They are telling me I need a heated seat module, and new body harness wiring which be a big labor bill to install. They did reflash the BCM also.
Since a few others on here made this work, I am wondering what they are missing. Is there a new wiring harness that goes from the wheel to the dash switch plate that is needed or am I out of luck and $ on this failed attempt?

By dash switch plate, I assume you mean the stock button that is located on the bottom of the radio/HVAC control panel? Heated seats are almost plug and play as the wires are already ran, and a body harness wouldn't be necessary for that. I'm not sure what code they flashed, but I can't imagine it would be that complex of an upgrade.

I would say that at the very least you got a nice, leather steering wheel. I wouldn't say you're out even if for some unknown reason they can't get it to work.

The dash switch plate I ordered replaced the one the came with the truck. The original contains the buttons for the park sense and traction control. The new plate has that plus buttons for the seats and steering wheel on another row of the new plate.
I already had a leather wheel, so if the heated wheel won't work it can be returned along with the switch plate.
I did want to add the heated seats at some point, but with cloth seats, the wheel means more to me at this point.

here is my thought..... i would assume its just a power and ground to turn it on. im wondering if you get a new clockspring so the siring is on the dash side of the column if you can just use a simple toggle switch to turn it on.
