Hello from So Cal!

Hi guys.. I'm new to the forum. Just took delivery of my new RAM Laramie. She's fully loaded.. just needs to go back to the dealer this week for some options to be installed (spray in bed liner, bed extender and towing package). I traded an '08 Cherokee SRT-8 for the RAM. The new RAM will be towing a Corvette to the race track on the weekends.. She has less than 100 miles on it yet but loving it so far.

First up on mods is a HID kit I'll be installing this coming weekend. I promised my wife this wouldn't be a modding adventure but we all know how long that lasts before the mod bug hits. Anyways, happy to be here and look forward to participating and learning as much as I can.

Welcome from O-Ville PA... nice rides - although you may want to be cautious about letting the Chevy and Mopar get too close, an old-timer once told me it causes instant RUST when those two metals get together!!

Thanks everyone! I'll admit the first truck I looked at was the Silverado. A chevy towing a chevy makes more sense and just plain looks cool. Unfortunately I then took a test drive. The Silverado didn't have any power at all and felt like a V6. I just really felt the Silverado is a few years behind right now so I stayed with my trusted Mopar.

For those of you asking about the Vette.. Performance: Headers, Intake, Exhaust, P/P Throttle Body, P/P Intake Manifold, Dyno Tune, Pfadt Sway Bars, Z06 Brake Package, SKF Wheel Bearings, P/S Pump, P/S Cooler, Oil Cooler, Diff Cooler and probably some other things I'm forgetting. The only thing left to do is a cam and that's all I'll be doing to it. It's possible I get a Z06 for street use and this one becomes a dedicated track car in which case it will get a whole lot more. Track days it gets 2 piece slotted rotors, Carbotech pads and a set of Hoosier R6s plus a very aggressive alignment.

Short list of immediate exterior upgrades on the truck are HIDs + LEDs (already ordered), window tint, shorty antenna. These will be done this week and we'll go from there.
