I was hoping to find a little help. I have a 2000 2500 diesel with high trans temp. I am trying to find the thermostat. But the pictures I see don't look like mine. Any help , pics or diagram would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to RF!

There is not a thermostat for the transmission.
There will be a transmission temp sensor, which is typically located on the transmission housing itself. Is that what you speak of?

I would recommend checking your tranny fluid and doing a filter change first as it could be restricting flow. Have you ever messed with the tranny? How many miles are on said truck? If your into modding your truck, you could look for a Mag-hytech tranny pan that holds up to 4 additional quarts for added cooling.

Also, check your tranny cooler on the front of the truck and see if there's any damage or kinked lines.

Let us know and we'll try to help you find the problem.

Oh yeah, and Welcome to RF! :welcome: :Rock on:
