About a week ago I was working out in death valley. From death valley to my house is around 5 hours. My truck ran perfectly throughout the whole drive. We even stopped a couple times and I shut it off and it would turn back on no problem.
When I reached my house I shut off the truck and went inside. A couple hours passed and my wife and I decided to go out to dinner. To my surprise my truck did not start. Next day I call a mechanic over to diagnose it. He makes it run, but it smells like it's running really rich. He said well its showing the voltage at the throttle body drops to quickly. So I buy a new throttle body and it doesn't fix it. I get new coils and it doesn't fix it. He comes back the next day checks the injectors and he said they are open for to long up to 10ms when my foot is off the throttle. He said change the MAP sensor, so I did. And nothing still doing the same but now there is a red lightning bolt. And still won't run..
Mechanic said that I have to swap the ecu, but I doubt it.
So has anybody had this happen to them, any input would be helpful.
