They changed the name though, hemi with etorque is now one word, maybe we should explain to them that it doesn't make good English, so hemitorque or hemiorque? Nah work in progress I guess.

Too bad it only comes as an e-Torque.

Maybe, in 2027 we will see a Hemi without the E-junkola feature.

Atlantis, yes. They turned hemi's and the hurricane's into Tesla like vehicles that get over the air updates. I'm sure that is what every guy wants big brother controlling their truck over the air waves.

Cant wait til vehicle hackers get AI, lmao?

Given that they now use the Atlantis architecture on 1500s and the entire HD line, I suspect this could be the new standard.

After all, who do you think these trucks are designed to benefit most?

Because of big brother and the simple fact I have no desire to have my Data reported to anyone. I've purchased my last new vehicle.

I'll probably have the next one built. The cost is probably similar

If you were to find a new truck that suited your interests, why not just add an after-market radio and the data exploitation issue is solved?

In recent times, many have successfully gained control over all the truck's peripherals connected to the Uconnect head unit.

I know of at least one Ontario member who has installed a new radio after driving off the lot.

Chase bought my bank out, now my bank is chase. They sent me a 20 page letter telling me I have no right to stop them from sharing my info, lol. Like dummy, you are supposed to gain customers with your policies not lose them.

We have 3 Teslas in the family, their OTA updates have been nothing but a nightmare. Errors on both sides, user error or corrupt files from Tesla. Since it is working out so great for Tesla, lets make every vehicle have the same isht? Guys just have to research stuff before buying it, you cant just trust everything is going to work out like it used to? There are way too many things against your control.

That brings to mind the people who fall for every update/recall,and let the dealer do them with-out first researching so called update/recall. Our 1320 had 2 outstanding recalls when i sold it,and i told the new buyer he was crazy if he let a dealer do them,as one would kill the drag pages in the car,and a 1320 with-out the drag pages is useless

At my former hangout, TenForums.com, I spent endless time assisting update junkies.

Even though microsoft updates had constantly broken features with auto-updates, users were always running the manual update feature whenever anything didn't perform as expected.

I would try to educate users to not ever perform manual updates unless they knew exactly what they were doing and to disable that auto-update feature that microsoft had forced upon everyone.

I'm so pleased that the Uconnect in my truck does not use OTA updates.

And, I research any vehicle recalls before arriving at a dealer. The diesel truck recalls are a prime example of why everyone shouldn't just rush in for every recall notice.

I would be pissed to have a stealership wreck my truck.

All these climate alarmists should spend more time chasing all the cars at Dairy Queen idling their cars in the heat before pestering truck owners.

I still have an UPDATE pending since Sept 2024. Not gonna get done. Every time the clowns mess with that stuff, they f-ubar other stuff. Last time local dealer did updates, they created 2 other issues which now: THEY will not acknowledge and there is no resolution. (They allegedly initiated a STAR case that I can get no acknowledgement or status or info from local dealer, read between the lines), they R full of sumthin brown.

May explain why I did not buy vehicle from Local Dealer. It just went real bad and no way it would make 1 1/2 hour trip to my dealer back in Feb 2023.

I'd sure as heck would like to get a 2026: BUT: NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WHY!!!!!!!
Not want E torque
Not want lousy new Atlantic architecture (electrical)
Not want to end up with a 30K note after trading in my paid off 2019
Not wanna have to do all mods currently on 2019
NOT want the headache.

If they come up with a HEMI w/o the MDS/E Torque would consider.

Awe but in many states you cant past inspection w/o doing them. I knew I should not trust the last rav 4 one upper control arm, like why? Sure enough after they "fixed" it now it squeeks. I'm doing a complete front end replacement with upgraded shocks parts are ordered.
