Has anyone tried clocking their HID bulbs to something other than having the return wire at 6 o'clock? With my DDM Tuning bulbs, I seem to get the best beam pattern with the driver side bulb in the stock stop position, which puts the return wire at about 3 o'clock and the passenger side at 6 o'clock. I'm still not thrilled with the output, as the hot spots are very defined with not much light outside of the hotspots. The hotspots also shine on the center line and the shoulder line, rather than in front of the truck. I didn't try a lot of positions because removing and installing the headlamps is a PITA.

I ended up buying some Morimoto XB bulbs to see if that helps with my issues.

Update: Replaced DDM Tuning bulbs with Morimoto XBs. Beam pattern now looks normal, like a halogen pattern. No definitive hot spots while driving, good output outside of the hotspots. Must have been a poor batch of bulbs. A case of you get what you pay for. Hopefully the ballasts last...
