I'm running HIDs right now. Thought about trying LEDs but never did. I think another big factor with this the headlight housing. As in a housing designed for LEDs or a set of projectors designed for HIDs.
I'm curious about that DDM kit for the 15s id love to see a little more info/pics of it.
It's nice to hear that a company is saying that it is only plug and play but if you have a 15 or 16 I get nervous.
I've seen too many times that we have the same year and one works but on the other it does not. I wish it was that easy as it worked on every truck but I always plan on it not working then get happy when it does.
Case in point with the reverse led's that were a guarantee to work plug and play(I'm talking bulbs) and they didn't work on mine yet worked on multiple other members.
Not trying to throw salt but instead give the "what may work on yours may not work on others". Btw glad you got it dialed in and working nicely...
Yea, I was happy with the led's for a while, but then I started having problems with cooling fans going out, and light output just wasn't there.
When these first started poping up that was the first thing I thought about. Those fans remind of the tiny fans on computer graphics cards. Yeah it says there waterproof and shock tested but I just thought that fan wouldn't last long.
Sounds too good to be true. Who's gonna try it ?

Lol you caught my post before my edit. Listen if this works I'll give you a big hug (no ****)Yea, i was very curious about it as well, and two months initially with zero issues, even running them in the fog lights. Thru the touchless car washes that spray the underbody, and no issues, then all of the sudden, problems.
I would be very interested to see how it works out on a 15 as well!

I just traded a Chevy for my new 2016 Laramie. In that truck I had 6K HIDs in the projector low beams and LED for the refector high beams. Also had LED fog lights. The problems with HID high beams, is one....it is illegal..tongue in cheek..to put HID in reflector housings. You can put them legally in projector housing...at least in the state of Georgia. Second issue with HID high beam is they do have to warm up. When you flick your high beams off for a oncoming car and then flip them back on HID require 5-10 seconds to get bright. A LED bulb is bright as soon as the electrons hit it. You can put a LED bulb in a reflector housing legally. That is the setup I like. The Laramie has the projector low beam and reflector high so I will be setting up same way as my Chevy was. I am 57 years old and find that I actually see better with the 6K spectrum. This is to individual taste and eyes of course. The 6K lights do light up reflectors and road signs in the distance much better than 5K or 4300K bulbs. My 2cents worth on the subject.

I wonder when Ram changed their electrical system for the 2015 model year. I remember on the other forum someone purchased a pair of canbus reverse led bulbs that didn't give me a light out message but did the other person which also had a 2015. Items were purchased from same seller at about the same time frame.
Mine is built Dec 2014.

OH..forgot a part. I was told to never, never put the dust cap back on a LED bulb with a fan per the OPT7 representative. You will fry the control module and burn the fan out in very little time. The bulb is supposed to seal the housing so no dust/moisture gets in. I had not trouble with this on my Chevy.
DDM Tuning: HID and LED Lighting
Thats the link for the Plus canbus kit, and they have basically all the information you would need.
I absolutely agree. Newer vehicles are VERY picky with electronics, considering that pretty much every aspect of new vehicles integrate into the vehicles computer systems. Unfortunately, with the so called plug and play kits, without people buying them and trying them, its hard to say that its a for sure guaranteed fitment. I cant speak too loudly about most products out there, but I can say that every set of DDM HID kits i have bought, have been plug and play, and i never needed to worry about lights cutting off while driving down the road. I have installed some lighting where relay harnesses were absolutely required, due to the lack of a "plug and play kit" but ive never had one of their plug and play kits not work. There are some exceptions to SOME applications, but they actually specify which kits and which vehicles will need relay harnesses, capacitors, etc etc.
I installed the same brand of LED lights on my father in laws 08 grand cherokee, and his were absolutely not plug and play, I had to install a relay harness(which I actually purchased through DDM). After I sent him pictures of the new HID setup I have now, he wants them for his GC.
Which reverse lights did you use in yours? I have the phillips for reverse lights in mine, and while it does give a bulb out message, they still function properly. I did also purchase today, the canbus error eliminators for my license plate bulbs and reverse lights, as both of them give the bulb out message. Minor annoyance, but I dont know of a bulb out there that is designed for a plate light or reverse that has an error eliminator built into it.
That's very kind of you, I've got a feeling the ddm kit don't work man. I'm tempted to message those 2015 owner that responded on their Facebook page for an update lolI'll donate a relay harness to you if they fail...
