I think the OP should start the list of hidden features on the very first page. For me to go through 40 pages would take hours! Nay or Yay?

what about tapping your turn signal up or down just before it clicks and your signal will blink 3 times and stop. I like it for lane changes or merging.
Mine only blinked twice when I did that. I was hoping for an option to change the number of blinks (I prefer 4 or 5), but I couldn't find anything.

I am not sure where you guys are buying your trucks but your salesperson should be doing a delivery with you and should know all of these features and show you how they work. If you purchased on recently go back and make them do it for you, its part of what you are paying for! Should not have to figure out how to work your new truck!

Bought mine used at a Chevy dealer. They thought the cruise control buttons controlled the radio... :roflsquared:

Didn't see this listed but there is a setting in the EVIC that automatically moves the driver's seat back when the engine turns off and moves it forward (to set position) when engine is started. I actually like this better than my Lexus, in which the steering wheel simply goes in and then raises. Moving the seat makes more sense.

I believe this only works if you have the memory seats, correct? I know our Durango will do it, but my Ram will not since I don't have the memory seats in it... unless I just haven't found it.

Who ever mentioned the middle button on the steering wheel channel controls...thanks! :)

I looked right at it and never noticed and wondered why I had to scroll through all the channels that were not programed.

And bummer about the auto window roll down with the remote not working. :flipthebird:

I couldn't figure out why my heated seats were not coming on.(probably in the manual) :flipthebird:

I fooled around with the settings and still they wouldn't come on no matter what I did.

The other day I hopped in my truck after a remote start and low and behold my heated seats and steering wheel were on. It would appear it's based on the ambient temperature sensor and from what I discovered the heated seats won't come on unless the temperature is below 5 degrees! :)

Same goes for cooled seats but unsure of what that temperature needs to be.

Lastly for those with remote starts, nothing works until you hit the start button except for the radio volume control and the radio switches on the steering wheel.

That's all I got, not really hidden features but more of a heads up in case anyone wondered. :)

Yes they are on the 5.0 screen but they do not work the same way as the 8.4 radios. The 8.4 radios have a built in cellphone that it uses to call 911 and Chrysler customer care and can be called using the buttons on the mirror. In the case of the 5.0 it has soft keys on the touch screen and all they really do is dial the numbers on your own phone kind of like speed dial. If you do not have your phone, paired and available those buttons will do nothing on the 5.0 radio. The 8.4 radios as I said above will work without a separate cellphone.

How do you do this?

I guess I haven't taken the time to go through all of the options on my truck but I just found out that I can put the turn by turn directions on the screen in my gauges. Very cool feature.

My '11 you can put either heated or cooled seats (and heated steering wheel) at any temp. Wonder if that's something new - odd that you can't change the temperature threshold seeing as hot/cold is such a subjective thing.

Are you talking about only after a remote start, or all the time? Remote start heat/cool is definitely temperature dependent.

Did you know your new ram came with a transmission (8sd) that they say in the manual requires no fluid or filter change... EVER!!! it says unless it gets contaminated by water or other the fluid and filter are good for the life of the vehicle.

Or the life of the transmission, which ever comes first :naughty:

I was looking at the plastic "pan" and special screws holding in onto the transmission as I was under my truck the other day. Just wasn't too impressed.

On mine I can set this to happen is I remote start the truck or just "regular start" the truck.

As far as temperature thresholds go, they don't seem to be the same every time (for me anyway), I actually think it somehow figures out the temp inside the truck and bases it off of that - I've had the cooled seats come on when it was like 10 celsius out (sun beaming right into the window) and the heated seats/steering wheel come on when it was 11 celsius out. Its really sweet!

My heated seats and steering wheel always comes on at 40 degrees and cooled seats on at 80 degrees fahrenheit...

I have them set to come on with both starts and both work the same!
