Hello,

I'm wanting to switch my factory halogens to LED and figured these are decent lights for the price. Before I buy them, however, I want to know if I need any other hardware for the LED conversion. I've read that there are canbus adapters and resistors but that not every vehicle needs them.
I have a 2019 Ram 1500 classic (1C6RR7KT7KS731648)

HIKARI Ultra LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit -H11

Any comments are welcome.

Look at Cougar Motor 3.0 Gold
CANBUS-safe, 12,500 lumens, 6500k bright white and they fit under the dust covers.
Plug'n'play.

I can't comment on the 19' but I have them in my 16' and am happy with them. No extra stuff bought, plug n play, fit under the covers fine.

I used Heise LEDs in my 2019 Classic, can get a plug and play harness so no issues. Most audio shops local carry Heise LEDs

I have the Hikaris on my '14 (factory projectors) and I did not need any extra hardware.

I use these in my 19 classic Express and absolutely 100% true plug and play. No extra resistors needed, no dash warnings, no radio interference and dust covers fit back on perfectly. Have them in my lows and highs.

In your high beam how you like them? When I do my HIDs in my projectors I’m going to throw some LEDs in the high beam while it’s all taken apart.

How are the Hikari with the projectors? Any night time output shots?

I don't have any pics right now. I have them in the low beams only and they are a lot brighter than the high end halogen's I was running (Crystalvision Ultra).

I love the Fahren high beams so much that I very rarely use my 42” curved light bar now. Actually thinking about taking it off.

I am trying to decide whether to buy the Alpharex and adding the Hikari ultras .... thank you
worse case, add the LEDs now, and if your fine, then you saved a ton of money. I bet you could walk into a stereo shop and get Heise today. Most audio shops, especially near you carry them, as they are owned by Metra. The guys that make all the radio adapters.

I have a set of Hikari Ultra that I had in my Alpharex projectors. The problem I ran into is that they did not project the light in the distance with any intensity. I was outdriving my headlights around town (45 mph speed limit) and on the freeway, where I do most of my driving, it was downright dangerous at night. It wasnt a matter of aim, they were properly aimed, and I even tried to raise them a little to see if it helped. The hotspot just faded fast. I'm curious how they are in the OEM projectors.
