Believe it or not, I am going to try not to void the warranty on this one... Though, on the Ram I did a lot to void it, and Chrysler still paid for a new transmission. Go figure...

Made a new battery cover...
Cut, bent, shaped from a sheet of steel and wrapped in vinyl cf. The strap is brushed aluminum cut from a strip, shaped and bent, put a little groove in the middle, and then polished the groove and the edges.
The strap snaps into place and grips the battery really tight, but pops off super easy.

That's the biggest I would go on a jeep as to have more sidewall, but I thought you were doing a sport jeep style with yours and going with sportier wheels and tires. I like the wheels a lot!!

I think it would still have a real sporty (on road) look to it with those wheels... 18s might be a ok, but I agree with you that 17s would be best.
