Well boys and girls I have decided to go ahead and start a build thread. I figured it was a smarter idea since I already am on the boards daily and that way I don't have to start a new thread each time I have a simple question I can keep it more organized and in one thread.

Here's how she sits right now today. View attachment 7248

Interior mods:
Not much other than a Sony head unit that was given to me by a buddy. I am still debating on what I want to do with it all.

Exterior mods:
Plasti dipped rims
Plasti dipped grille
Bed liner on the rockers and bumpers
Smoked cab lights
Smoked headlight covers
6000k HIDs in heads and fogs
Debadged emblems
5% tint all around

Engine mods:
CAI
Cherrybomb turbo muffler dumped after the axle
Superchips flashpaq tuner

Future mods:
Roll pan to replace the rear bumper
In channel rain visors for the windows
SI/DO muffler and finish having the pipes ran for the dual exhaust with my chrome magnaflow tips
Tow mirrors
Upgrade my audio
And I'm sure many more I can't think of at the moment.

My first order though before I go into any more modding is this rear end noise I'm still having. I have changed the gear oil in my rear end. There is absolutely no play in the driveshaft so that leads me away from the pinion bearing. I thought it was my rear brakes maybe rubbing causing the noise so this weekend I replaced my shoes, my drums, and my wheel cylinders back there and boom! It's still there :( i don't know what to check next. U joints maybe? Or to have my driveshaft balanced? I don't let me know what you guys think. I have a video on my phone or YouTube I will try to link to this thread so you guys can get a feel for the sound

Thanks everyone and enjoy the ride :)

Best way to check is to jack the rear up(chalk the fronts) then place it in drive. And crawl up under it check to see were the noise is coming from. Use 2 ppl. You don't want any incidents doin it alone.....

Hmm pics never uploaded so I'll add what I have on my phone and go from there.

As far as getting under there I did mean to when I had it on blocks when replacing my brakes last weekend but my buddy had to leave as soon as we were done so I never got the chance! I plan to I just didn't know if anyone has experienced the same scenario!

Well I went ahead and ordered the muffler tonight. Decided to go with the summit muffler SI/DO because I think all the mufflers I have had sound pretty much the same to me so didn't feel like spending the extra cash on a magnaflow. So once that gets here i will be calling around to some shops to get the dual pipes ran and the tips installed! Figured I oughta get my sister something for her bday that's Friday so didn't wanna go spending crazy just yet I'll wait till pay day on Friday and not some more off of the list.

I was thinking of painting the tips to match the rest of the truck since I have no chrome on it and was thinking of just plasti dipping them. Should I do that before I take them to the shop or wait untill after they are welded in and then spray them? I don't want the welds to mess with any of the paint?

Also I could just dump the ends until then but would it be a smarter idea to buy the roll pan and then have the pipes ran so that the tips sit flush with the edge of the roll pan?

they quoted me $150 for duals with nice tips. I supplied the muffler.
I went with a turn down. they charged me $40 to weld it up. I had already cut out hte old stuff.

if you do a turn down, run it abit closer to the axle or past it. the resonance in the cab is killer if you dont.

raceland has the cutouts. it is a y pipe that bypasses the muffler and dumps right at the cutout. sounds like open headers. it is electrically controled to open and close from the cab. those hemi guys all have one.

Yeah I have been quoted 120 and I have the muffler and tips. Sound pretty fair to me. Gonna call a few other places just to see if I can't save another couple bucks. :) I'm hoping not to have to leave them for very long if at all because I have my current dumped and the drone is crazy inside the cab.

Okay I've seen people around here talkin about them I know what they are now thanks!

Oh I also meant to as in my original post before I talked to the codes about my intake. But I wanted to see what I was missing. There's a nipple on my intake that currently does not have a hose hooked up to it and I would like that to change lol the stock vacuum line I had hooked to the stock airbox now has a breather filter on it so nothing gets in my oil and I hve another line on the passenger side valve cover that is hooked to the block but idk what line would go to the intake tube.
