Ok so I am looking for a way to use the home ink system to trip a relay to open and close a circuit (no voltage). Anyone do anything like this?

I assume I am going to have to use a relay wired into the system.

This would be to enable or disable a Dash mounted switch (Extra layer of safety).

Thank you for any and all help

Someone posted how to do this a long time ago. If I can find it I'll post here. I think this is what they were using (been in my Amazon cart for nearly a decade)...

Yeah that is kinda what I am looking at doing. Think I need help more with the wiring side.

Two things being:

1. Finding a good power source in the Cab
2. What is needed in wiring to close a circuit without any voltage.

Basically I am trying to prevent my kids from turning on the light bars.

Here's the thread I mentioned...
