I may pull the trigger on getting a 2017 AWD charger w 150k miles on it.
How many miles is the engine & transmission on a V8 awd charger typically good for?

If treated well they’ll go pretty far. I have a buddy with an 06 ram 1500 with the early 5.7 hemi. He’s got over 300,000 miles on his truck with the original motor. It was his dads truck first. It gets regular oil changes and is driven like the average vehicle.

Did they even make an AWD R/T in 2017? I thought it was only with V6s in 2017.

Newest R/T AWD charger I can find is a 2014. I know they made them, but they discontinued them in the V8s (R/Ts) chargers before the year the OP is asking about.

Are you looking at an ex-police spec car? As far as i know only the police and some government agencies had access to AWD / Hemi Chargers in 2017

If it's a 2017 with a V8 and AWD then it's a Pursuit car (unless custom install) and will have the NAG1 vs the 8HP70. The later t-cases (2011+) run in RWD mode most of the time until certain conditions are met to engage it. As long as you don't put a ton of extra power to it (stroker, boost, etc) they seem to do just fine with regular maintenance. The hemi itself (so long as you didn't get some of the bad lifters) can go a couple hundred thousand miles if maintained correctly.
