I am the one that picked up the one from Cuylertech with the hub. Got everything installed(upgraded the RA3 8.5 in my '17 ram) and it looks like everything is working. I noticed on the rear of the radio there is another usb port that is slightly different(smaller) than the one that has the harness going to the concole lid. the aux port that he sent with the radio looks like the one that harvo posted. I checked and car play connected right up to my iphone without issue. I'll be testing the rest of the controls tomorrow after a couple more key cycles and run time.

On my 2017 RAM UAQ swap, the UAQ radio was purchased and sold as "brand new". The sticker on the side of the radio shows a manufacturing date of 02/18. I noticed one major problem. Bluetooth quality is awful, major static/glitching during playback. Using same phone (Note 8) as I was with the factory RA4 radio which had no problems. I do not have this problem with any other vehicle or portable stereo's bluetooth connection using the same phone.

I read earlier in this thread stating that the most current firmware is 18.x.; my radio is running software 17.43.44.

If indeed there is an 18.x current firmware, can someone point me to where I can download the files so I can throw onto a thumb-drive and do the upgrade and see if that solves it before I send the radio back?

I can't point you to firmware but did you recently update your phone to Android Oreo (v8.0)?

In addition, you can try changing the Bluetooth codec under settings > developer options > networking (section) > Bluetooth audio codec...there are other options there to try as well (streaming quality, etc.)

I'm trying to figure out the firmware issue as well. Mine is running 17.36.39. It looks like the updates are based off of vin which is inturn associated with the radio installed. I am trying to get a vin associated with the radio I got from culyertech to be able to check for future updates. He stated it was up to date when he sent it. I don't know of another way to determine what the correct firmware would be with out a vin.

So far the only issue I have is that at night it jumps out of nighttime mode for the backup camera so it is really bright. During the day it is at a high contrast. blue tooth and carplay and android work great.

Have you tried a factory reset since you installed it? The reset corrects the camera overexposure at night for earlier radios running 17.x.x firmware. User @Mpgrimm2 has a wealth of info he's put together in the DIY section (for firmware) I'm not sure if he's updated the info for the newer radios yet but he may already have it.

I haven't updated the thread for the newer 18 UAS/UAQ radios yet (may start a new one). Just checked a few 18 vin's that I have from other research and none pull up any updates on the uConnect site (UAQ & UAS), including my 18 truck's Vin w/UAS. Yet we know there are fw updates out there.

I cannot get into engineering mode to save my life. I can get into dealer and a service mode no problems. holding down drivers hot/cold and front defrost gets me into dealer mode. holding down drivers hot/cold and tune button gets me into service mode. Bunch of cool stuff that could brick your radio in there. Any ideas on getting into engr mode? I tried just drivers hot/cold and drivers/passenger hot/cold and drivers hot/cold and every other button. IDK

I have ordered the 68366552AA for my 1500, Once I get it and installed, I will update if it works correctly.

I got the 68366552AA and installed it.

Everything appears to be working correctly now.

The latest firmware that I am aware of is 19.09. My radio came with 19.09 on it. However, the latest version that I have ever been able to download is 18.14. Can you post a picture of the radio part information screen from the dealer mode?

I scored the steal of a lifetime for $160.00!!! shipping to me directly. Keep an eye out daily. They will not last. Also just don't look at you ram series (1500,2500,3500,etc). All the radios are the same for each series.

One question I do have is does anyone have the download files to update the system to 19.9 as it is instructed in Chrysler's TSB 08-008-18? I checked using the donor vehicle and it comes up with current version already installed.

Ok, I've read through this thread and just want to get a few clarifications if that is ok? I have a 2016 Ram 2500 CTD that I installed a UAQ into. My Ram had the RA4 in it before the UAQ. Here are the issues I have and what I think are the answers...

The Heated & Cooled Seats do not function on the touch screen, but the hardware buttons work.
--Have to install some separate module or something to get them to work?

SiriusXM Guardian does not work and can not be activated.
--This cannot be done so there is no way to get these features?

I try to activate radio on my SiriusXM account and the radio ID just doesn't bring up anything.
--I have no clue on this one...

Sorry for jumping in as a first time poster, but this is the first real thread I've seen on people working on the UAS/UAQ upgrade path. I do have access to an Autel unity and the AE software if there is something I can do with that. I did read that there has been some AE bricking so I am also good not to touch that as well! Thanks for any help!!!
