How to install a third brake light CANBUS 921 bulb for dirt cheap!

Found another set of CHEAP CANBUS compatible 921 bulbs. Heres how to install them and shows the bulbs I used. Only $9.99 for two and you only need one for the 3rd brake. No error or bulb out messages either!

So I put these in for my reverse bulbs. My '14 1500 uses 921 bulbs for reverse, not the 7440 like your other post.
They worked just fine for one day, but are now popping up error messages. I tried moving them up to the cargo lights (also 921 on my truck) and still getting the same issue. Back on the search!

Is the primary reason to install LEDs that they are brighter? Is there any concern with heat from the LEDs?

Brighter, longevity, cleaner/white look.
LEDs don't put off any heat.

I run these in my cargo lamps and backup lamps, but over the years I've always found red LED's work the best behind a red lens if you want that deep red tone. I forgot where I picked them up, but I run a red projector style LED bulb that also has some side fire diodes in my 3rd brake light that is pretty in your face. It sends a pretty clear message when people tailgate at night.
