I have a fuel line leak and my local mechanic is saying that part has been discontinued from the dealer?!

So now what do I do? It’s the fuel line that’s braided and meets the plastic one. Under the drivers side seat. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram.

Think outside the dealer (after you have verified with them these are not available... sometimes a good parts guy can find what you need by searching other dealers shelf stock)

Other options
- Rock Auto?
- CARiD?
- ebay?
- a P/N search of the 'net'
- Can the existing line be spliced/ repaired?
- Can a hydraulic, or A/C shop make a copy?
- Can one be aquired from an auto salvage yard

Oh...and photos of the damaged area/ part help a lot.

I don't know if this applies to 2008 Rams
But the newer fuel lines have a special plastic fitting at the ends.
Some people somehow are able to release that fitting, but most ppl break it

these tools work faster & easier
